St. Vincent de Paul Society

As we think about the concept of stewardship during this fall season here at SMOY, the members of the ST. Vincent de Paul Society would like to extend an invitation to all of our parishioners to become involved in our group. We are asking that you consider at this time, joining us in our mission to serve the needy in the SMOY area.
Jesus said……”You are the Salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned?……A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lamp stand, where it gives light to all in the house. Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5: 13-16)
It is a gratifying experience to help those in need. Come and join us. It is not all work, we are a close friendly, spiritual group. There is prayer, meditation and sharing at every meeting. The reward you receive from God will be lasting and satisfying, and your light will shine before others. There are a variety of ways to get involved and you are welcome to contact any of our members, or come to a meeting to see what we do. God bless you, your friends and family, and our parish here at St. Margaret of York.
We meet at the church every 1st and 3rd Thursday at 7: PM. To find out more, feel free to call Charlie Kallmeyer (444-4636), Don Wires (683-6696) or Denise Ryan (583-0307).
