Bereavement Ministry

The Bereavement Team exists to respond to families who are grieving over the death of a loved one. Members of the Bereavement Team listen to the needs of the family and help them plan the Mass of Christian Burial so that the liturgy reflects the wishes and needs of the family. The Bereavement Minister will be present at the funeral to act as a greeter and a supporting presence for the family. The Minister is also available for consultation later if a family member or friend wishes to share problems or concerns. Members of the Team have received training through Grief Works of Cincinnati, a nationally respected leader in the field of bereavement ministry.
