Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is the process by which those who want to join the Catholic faith community are welcomed and introduced to the beliefs and practices of the church.  This introduction begins in late summer and culminates with initiation at the Easter Vigil. RCIA team members instruct the Catechumens, helping to clarify Church teachings. As you might expect the energy level is extremely high and everyone involved finds it to be an uplifting experience. It's not every day you get the opportunity to represent your faith to someone in the process of fundamentally changing his or her life. Becoming a member of the RCIA team is a special ministry.
