The Creed

We recite the Creed almost every week at Mass on Sunday. Do you know it by heart? Fill in the blanks from the text below. If necessary, use the list of words below.

The _ _ _ _ _ _ Creed

We believe in _ _ _ God,
the Father, the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is _ _ _ _ and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _,
the only Son of God _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, one in _ _ _ _ _ with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us . . . and for our _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit he was born of the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _, and became man.

For our sake he was _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered, died, and was buried.
On the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ he rose again
in fulfillment of the Scriptures;
he _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to _ _ _ _ _ the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the _ _ _ _ _ of life,
who _ _ _ _ _ _ _ from the Father and Son.
With the Father and the Son he is _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ and glorified. He has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ of the dead,
and the _ _ _ _ of the world to come. Amen.
